Wordpress Meetup: Free Speech, Free Press, Free Software

Details
Starts at 6 pm at the Hacker Lab. Show up anytime between 6 pm and 7 pm for networking. Presentation starts at 7 pm, and shouldn't be longer than 45 minutes. Following the talk, we'll open the floor to general Q&A for our community - whether you're trying to conquer a problem with WordPress, or just looking for a recommended plug-in, our audience is a wealth of knowledge.
Joe Boydston has helped community newspapers in California replace their proprietary publishing systems with WordPress. Far more than just a website, these newspapers use WordPress to run their brick and mortar businesses. Joe will look at themes and plugins developed by these newspapers, illustrating many outside the box uses of WordPress.
This month's meetup is sponsored by PMC, is a privately owned California corporation. PMC was established in 1995 with a mission to provide planning, environmental, and municipal services to public agencies, special districts, and public-oriented organizations. Be sure to check out their website and thank them for our food and drinks, so they'll do so again: http://www.pmcworld.com (http://www.pmcworld.com/).
Hope to see everyone there!
