Jewelry Metalworking

Certification: Grants access to the Jewelry Studio with membership or maker day pass.
Learn the foundations of metal jewelry fabrication—no experience needed. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll practice sawing, filing, hammering, and finishing metal to create a one-of-a-kind piece. You’ll leave the class with a piece of your handcrafted jewelry.
You’ll learn:
- How to use a jeweler’s saw
- Metal piercing and filing techniques
- Hammering, polishing, and finishing methods
All tools and materials are provided. Supplies are included in the class fee.
Next step: If you want to deepen your skills, you can take the Intermediate Metalworking for Jewelry class or the Intro to Soldering for Jewelry class.
Important Notes:
- Class must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
- Wear shop-appropriate clothes: long pants, close-toed shoes, and hair tied back.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early and sign our release of liability.
