Welcome to Halfway there Hikes! We are a Sacramento area based group that travels to various locations within 3 hours of Sacramento to enjoy Northern California trails. Trails range from 5 to 10 miles. All levels of experience are welcome to join.

See all- LAKE TAHOE- Emerald Point Bliss Park HikeParking Location, South Lake Tahoe, CA
For this hike we'll head to Emerald Bay State park. We'll start the hike at 8:30am and hike the Rubicon trail. Along the way we'll have excellent views of the bay and ultimately the lake. The hike will be 10miles long. There are bathrooms at the turnaround point 5miles in. Expect the hike to take roughly 4-5 hours total. Typical temps average in the 70's. Will be a great day.

For the September hike we will be enjoying the Tomales Point Trail. It is a 10 mile out and back dirt trail with excellent views of the coast and Tomales Bay. While hiking on the trail, we may also have the opportunity to see the native Tule Elk.
The agenda for the day is we will meet at Pierce Point Ranch Parking Lot at 9AM. Plan on being on the trail for roughly 5 hours. So bringing plenty of water and snacks are recommended. After the hike there will be an opportunity to meetup in nearby Point Reyes Station for an afternoon lunch if you choose. It'll be a great day.
