Welcome to Halfway there Hikes! We are a Sacramento area based group that travels to various locations within 3 hours of Sacramento to enjoy Northern California trails. Trails range from 5 to 10 miles. All levels of experience are welcome to join.

Black Diamond Mines Preserve Hike
Sommersville Town Center, 2556 Somersville Road, Antioch, CA, USFor our February hike we will be going to the Black Diamonds Mine Preserve to complete an 8 mile hike. This area provides us with open space rolling hills and some nice periodic views of the Delta. Net Elevation gain on the hike is 1800 feet. It should be a nice hike.
We will be meeting at the Black Diamonds Mine UPPER Parking lot. Parking is $5.41 attendees
St. Helena Valentine Vista Trail
Moore Creek Park, 2602 Chiles Pope Valley Rd, St Helena, CA, USFor our March Hike we will be visting the Valentine Vista trail located in the St. Helena area. The hike is a shorter hike with a distance of 4.2 miles and a net elevation gain of 700ft. The hike is a mostly single track hike and has excellent views of the surrounding area and if the timing is right beautiful landscapes covered in Golden Poppys.
Carpool will meet at 11th and P at 7:15am and will leave promptly at 7:30am.
