Welcome to Halfway there Hikes! We are a Sacramento area based group that travels to various locations within 3 hours of Sacramento to enjoy Northern California trails. Trails range from 5 to 10 miles. All levels of experience are welcome to join.

The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip. each person who signs up for a trip/meetup/ or outing is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guests. See all- Tomales Point Trail HikeTomales Point Parking Location, Inverness, CA
For the September hike we will be enjoying the Tomales Point Trail. It is a 10 mile out and back dirt trail with excellent views of the coast and Tomales Bay. While hiking on the trail, we may also have the opportunity to see the native Tule Elk.
The agenda for the day is we will meet at Pierce Point Ranch Parking Lot at 9AM. Plan on being on the trail for roughly 5 hours. So bringing plenty of water and snacks are recommended. After the hike there will be an opportunity to meetup in nearby Point Reyes Station for an afternoon lunch if you choose. It'll be a great day.
- Cronan Magnolia Ranch TrailCronan Ranch - Magnolia Parking Area, Pilot Hill, CA
For our October hike we will be visiting Cronan Ranch Regional Trail Park. The hike will give us a nice variety of scenary. We'll walk through forested areas, open meadows, along the South Fork of the American River, and also go to the top of the Sky Ridge trail with an expansive view of the area. We'll also walk by part of an old movie set for the movie "Love Comes Softly." If you want to preview it before our hike.
The hike will be just under 10miles. There are bathrooms about midway on the trail. Expect the hike to take roughly 4-5 hours total. After the hike we'll meet at one of the local restaurants for an afternoon meal.
