Tahoe Pyramid Trail
Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway, Quilici Ranch Rd., Verdi, NV, USFor our November hike we will be visiting the Tahoe Pyramid Trail in Nevada. The hike will travel along the Truckee river and Highway 80. The path is a relatively easy path with some of it being dirt road, gravel, single track, and paved.
We will likely see trains traveling along the adjacent railroad, we'll cross a trail bridge, and likely see a flume created waterfall.
The hike will be just under 10miles. There are no bathrooms on the trail and it will be sun exposed. This trail will be an interesting because there will be a variety of man made and natural features to view along the way.
It'll be a fun day.48 attendeesCotoni-Coast Trail- Santa Cruz
Contoni-Coast Airies, 1 Cement Plant Rd, Davenport, CA, USFor our December hike we will go down to the Santa Cruz coast area known as Davenport. This trail is a relatively new trail because work was done to combine the Hawk trail and Tree trail as explained in this SFGATE article. Since the hike is taking place in December the weather conditions could be questionable, but it will take place rain or shine. The trail is roughly 9 miles and is mostly sun exposed, but please plan on checking the weather prior to attending for how you should dress. Either way it should make for a great time.
Carpooling- Meetup for carpooling will be at 11th and Pst downtown Sac. Some people will be staying in Santa Cruz overnight. So please leave a comment if you'd like to do an overnight carpool or a day of carpool.22 attendees
