Lake Natoma Perimeter Trail Walk
Fish Hatchery, 2001 Nimbus Road, Gold River, CA, USIf you've always thought about trying to walk around all of Lake Natoma, but are unsure of how to do it, than this is the hike for you. For our April hike we will be visiting Lake Natoma with the goal of navigating the perimeter of the Lake. Most of the trail follows the American River Bike Trail which means walking surfaces will either be paved asphalt, decomposed granite, or dirt. The walk/hike will be a little over 11 miles, but the advantage is it has relatively little elevation gain. The hike/walk will have sections with great views of the lake, some areas that are seculed, and some areas that will be next to bike riders. Either way there will lots to see and should make for a great day. Parking is free.
