• Saturday Night Sangha
Saturday Night Sangha Originally established in Berkeley in 2008, the Saturday Night Sangha has grown to become a vibrant community that embraces diversity in age, ethnicity and spiritual background. We are a peer-led group of spiritual friends whose members come from a variety of different contemplative traditions. A typical gathering will be facilitated by one of our experienced practitioners. We begin with forty minutes of meditation, followed by a brief talk. We then leave a half-hour for open discussion in order to allow everyone an opportunity to share their views. Often, there evolves a deep resonance of presence in the room, as we listen deeply to one another, and share with open hearts. Once every three months, we hold one kirtan and one party. We meet from 6pm-7:30pm every Saturday night at the East Bay Healing Collective (1840 Alcatraz Avenue, Berkeley, CA), and often go out for dinner afterward. We are a donation-based group, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. You are warmly invited to attend. No need to RSVP. If you have any questions, email Travis.

  • Free Energy Healing Clinic
We, the Vortexhealing® practitioners of the SF Bay, are pleased to invite you to our next Free Energy Healing Clinic! Vortex offers a lot of classes, but there are two main reasons people take classes. One is the transformation that occurs in your life when you take the course. There is information, practice time, Q&A, all given during the 5 days of the class, but the real work is by transmission. Something like an initiation in other traditions, but it happens during the entire 5 days. You get an "energetic structure" (Vortex is the only place I have ever encountered this way of working with energy) that you can think of as a transformer. It allows the human energy system to transmit divine level energy. The healing energy is wonderful, but it is the transformation in people's lives that brings them back. Specifics vary, but common responses are feeling calmer, more open, getting hooked or triggered less often. Somehow the transformation allows people to be more who they want to be, rather than our usual contradictory, sometimes happy sometimes not, ordinary human selves. This free clinic offers you a no strings opportunity to experience this modality for yourself. Please come join us. Individual 20 minute healings from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Group healing for all present from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. You are welcome to stay for both healings. First time visitors will be given priority for individual healings. We will accept donations to cover the cost of expenses. During individual sessions you will work with one or more people certified in Vortex Healing. Vortex Healing offers an extensive range of classes in both healing and awakening. The classes work by a transmission that creates a divine transformation in the student. With more classes, the transmissions grant increasing levels of healing power and consciousness.

  • Heart of Light Meditation
Come join us for an evening of silent meditation in sacred community. Silent meditation gives one the space to unfold and relax into one's natural and undivided self. This practice is excellent for maintaining a life of well being while consciously continuing along a path of self care and discovery. In practicing together, we support each other in our individual processes as well as being with what is, exactly as it is in the present moment. This group is offered every Monday evening at 6:30 pm at the East Bay Healing Collective. This group is led in roughly a Dharma Talk style: after the meditation, the facilitator gives a talk that draws upon teachings from Buddhism as well as many other traditions from East and West. Open to everyone and well-suited for beginners and experienced meditators alike, a typical evening includes 40 minutes of meditation, a talk inspired by various spiritual teachings, and interactive time of Q & A / discussion. One only needs the openness to sit with oneself, the curiosity to be with what arises, and the courage to be honest about what is discovered. If you are new to meditation and would like some extra guidance or have questions, feel free to come a few minutes early and/or stay a few minutes late! Further your practice with us, or come dip a toe into a quiet reflective space and explore what is here for you. The sangha is offered to the community free of charge. At the end of the evening, participants have the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution only if they feel moved to do so. You can hear some of Mike's past dharma talks here (http://heartoflight.podbean.com/).

  • ConnectSpace™–Tuesday Night Games
ConnectSpace™ Tuesday night weekly drop-in for connection games Connection creates the human experience. We are inherently social creatures and have a fundamental need for connection. For all our advancements in technology, we paradoxically have access to more and are more accessible than ever before, and yet feel increasingly cut off and disconnected. Loneliness, coupled with not being fully seen and heard and felt, are major contributors to our collective senses of dissatisfaction, lack of fulfillment, unhappiness, and even dis-ease. Dropping in, getting real, and cultivating intimacy, all with a sense of play is the antidote we offer. Despite our need for connection, the very act of connecting itself can be one of our most challenging, frightening, and even confusing experiences. A myriad of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can arise and obfuscate; we can get lost in projection (differentiating our own experience vs the narratives we spin around what’s going on inside the other), and we can end up losing our way. ConnectSpace™ is a forum we’ve created to practice these skills together; to teach us how to reconnect with our truths and hearts; to show up for each other; to learn crucial practices for effective conflict resolution with empathy; and, most critically, to have a ton of fun in the process. We will be exploring the dynamics of connection via simple games in which we practice overcoming our resistances and barriers and being present to both each other and ourselves. Let's play!
