1,400 feet elevation (hard) includes steep staircases and rock scrambling

Dress in layers as it may start out cool, but then get warm on the uphill.
Bring plenty of water (and electrolytes), small lunch or snacks, sun and wind protection, and sturdy footwear.

Dogs are not allowed in the Cold Creek Canyon portion of the loop.

10:00am at the 11th and P park and ride for carpooling or caravan.
11:00am at the large trailhead PARKING LOT on the right hand side just past Canyon Creek Resort.
3:30pm estimated return to Sacramento
