About us
This group is an intentional space to center the experiences, healing, and connection of women who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenours, and People of Color). We ask that all members honor and respect that centering. By joining you are affirming your commitment to showing up in a way that supports and uplifts that intention.
This group is an invitation to experience the restorative and healing power of nature firsthand. Not as a backdrop or photo opportunity, but as a living presence we can be in genuine communion with. Our hikes create space to detox from technology, downregulate your nervous system, and let the beauty, sounds, and smells of the natural world do what they have always done: heal, restore, and inspire.
The earth has always been a source of healing, sustenance, and inspiration for our ancestors. That resource hasn't disappeared. We just have to be still enough to receive it.
These are experiences designed to help you let go of everything you're carrying and simply be: present to your senses, present to the land, present to yourself and to each other.
What to expect:
Guided breathing and grounding practices to open each experience
Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) invitations: noticing texture, scent, sound, color, and the intricate design of the natural world
Periods of silence you can use however feels right for you
Tech-free experiences: phones off and away (we'll hold them for safekeeping if you'd like)
Time to talk, connect, and meet other women
A closing circle to land back together before we part
Who this is for:
BIPOC women who want to stop and connect with the earth on their hikes rather than just pass through, and who want to build community with other BIPOC women who love nature as much as they do.
