From Murten to Avenches

Hello!
Let’s meet this Saturday for a hike from Murten to Avenches along the Murten lake.
Murten (or Morat) has an interesting old town that we will first have a walk around. We’ll the be following the shore of the Murtensee and through countrside, before arriving at Avenches. This is a major historical site as it was the capital of Switzerland in Roman times, and has an amphitheatre as well as a museum. Let’s meet at the Murten train station at 10:30. I’ll be leaving from Geneva on the 8:35 train via Renens, Yverdon and Payerne. The hike itself is 3 hours. Counting breaks we should be reaching Avenches by 2:30ish, and taking a train back around 4:30ish.
As usual please come prepared for changes in weather and with water, snacks, etc. It should be hot and sunny so prepare accordingly. I am not a professional guide and decline responsibility for any incident.
