Jacksonville Historic True Crime Tour
Details
May is Mystery Month (for whatever reason), so I thought it would be fun to go on this true crime tour of Jacksonville -- AKA "The Murder Capital".
Here's the tour description from the site:
"We will take you through several eras in time with our history of True Crime. You will hear stories that support why Jacksonville has earned its nickname, The Murder Capital. With tales of riots, arson, smuggling, murder, serial killers and more… ranging in time from 1897 all the way to 2018 you are guaranteed to be entertained."
Tickets are $25 ($26.50 with the fee). You can buy them here. I'd suggest waiting until the week before to get your tickets, just in case rain is in the forecast.
The tour starts at the Volstead. They recommend arriving early so you can find parking.
If you can't find any street parking, there's a parking garage at 2W E Monroe St.
