Horror Fanatics

Are you all about horror? Do you love watching scary movies? Talking about horror movies with other fans? I’m looking for some cool people (die-hard fans and people wanting to learn more about horror) to join a meetup where we watch movies, new and old, talk about great horror moments, and group trips to: Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights, Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest, Knott’s Scary Farm, HorrorCon LA, and other Halloween or horror-related attractions. We will get together for dinner and drinks/coffee and get to know other people who share our passion, HORROR!

Now, for the rules:

1. You must have a picture that clearly shows your face on your profile. This is so that we can recognize you at a meetup event. If you attempt to join this group without a picture that clearly shows your face, your request will be DENIED.
2. Please make sure the name displayed on your profile is the name you want us to call you. Not “member275839548” or non-English characters or inappropriate names or “funny” user names. Your display name should be your actual first name. Remember, we are here to make friends. The name you write here is what we all will call you.
3. If the event is unhosted, there is no need to check in with a specific person. But we are all adults and we can at least make a good faith effort to meet up with the others that are attending the unhosted event.
4. If you RSVP to a hosted event and either do not show or do not check in with the Organizer(s)/Event Host(s), you will be marked as a "no show" to this event. For every "no show", your profile will be marked as such. Once you reach three "no shows", you will be removed from this Meetup group.
5. If you cannot find the Organizer(s)/Event Host(s), post a comment on the event page and the Organizer(s)/Event Host(s) can guide you to where they are.
6. If you are running late, message the Organizer(s)/Event Host(s) and let them know you are running late so they can make special arrangements to meet up with you.
7. If you are unable to attend an event that you have RSVP'd for, please change your RSVP to "no" at least an hour before the start time of the event.
8. If you need to change your RSVP to "no" after the event has begun or less than hour before the event start time, please message the Organizer(s)/Event Host(s) to explain the situation.
9. This shouldn’t even have to be mentioned but please do not try to “create” your own events by buying tickets to a different showtime than the one listed on an event and then recruiting other attendees to attend your “event”. Behavior such as this will result in your removal from the group.
10. Please be respectful of everyone in the group. This is not a dating group or a hookup group and treating it as such will result in your immediate removal from the group. You will also be banned from rejoining.
11. Please READ the event description in its entirety before asking questions that have already been answered in the event description.
12. For movie events, please “edit” your RSVP to add in your seat number as soon as you have purchased your ticket.
13. Please do not leave negative comments on the events as they will be removed. Also, for any questions regarding a specific event, please message the Event Host directly. The comments section for each event should only be used for the Event Host(s) to coordinate meetup locations or dinner before the movie locations. For book club events, the Event Host(s) will also use the comments section to confirm whether or not you will be attending since space is very limited for these events.
14. Please enable your ability to receive messages and actually read and reply to your messages. If the Organizer(s)/Event Host(s) send you a message regarding an event you have RSVP’d for, you need to read and reply to the message to confirm you have received the message.
