GameNight at the Crooked Pint in Maplewood, every THIRD Sunday of the month!
If it's Sunday, it's GameNight again! We're going to have boardgame fun all month long at a "new" place to play... The Crooked Pint Ale House in Maplewood. Here's a link to the main webpage for our new location: ( ) As usual, we will have lots of chances to play our boardgames, just in a nicer setting than usual. Lots of tables and space, good lighting, no loud noise that we don't make ourselves... plus some pizza, sandwiches, pop, beer, wine, cocktails, ...your choice! Here is a menu link to click on: As always, it's polite to remember to tip your servers for whatever food or beverages you enjoyed! Support our host location by ordering something to help make your GameNight! even more enjoyable... By the way, this Crooked Pint has PLENTY of parking space, and is on a bus line, as well as being next to the Interstate I-35E freeway. Easy to get to from anywhere, hardly outside of the city limits, but I say it's our "EAST" location, at least for now! Can you identify the games pictured below? Then you want to hang out with us a few times during this August. You know your boardgames, and you can enjoy playing them with good company every weekend if you would like to. You're invited! FAQs... Why Move GameNight!™ to a new place so often? Because I want to stir up the hum-drum regularity of the same place every week routine that GameNight has gotten into after being a Meetup for over three years, that's why! Sure the games are often new, and always fun, and it's great to see all the regulars who show up often enough that we usually have over twenty to thirty players on any given Sunday night. But getting out of the house should be special, and a new spot to enjoy each month will help do just that. Plus, there's no law that says we can't go back to a favorite place from the past. One more thing ... you are welcome and encouraged to suggest a location that you'd like to see used for this series of Meetups in the future. Saint Paul area has been where we have met usually, and towards the North end of town, but I am open to anywhere that is popular with the group members. So make a comment to let me know what and where YOU want to play boardgames, okay? How our Boardgame Meetup group works is simple: I always bring a bunch of my games that I think are good for our group. Old, new, hard, easy, weird, you name it. Check out the pictures below for some examples ... The folks who show up pick or suggest what they'd like to play. Enough people, and we can play several games at once. Easy-peasy, it's just like a democracy! But more fun ...But what's next and new? We shall see. Bring anything you'd like to play (and maybe teach to the group). We could even go back and replay a game that we liked. Imagine that! See you there, ... and remember: "Play more games!" Your host, Chris Hoppe Welcome to GameNight! TTFN!

What we're about

Public Group

What is the Twin Cities Hot & Spicy Food Lovers Group?

Our group is open to all lovers of hot & spicy food who wish to indulge in the best spicy cuisine in the Twin Cities area!

We're a friendly, laid-back group but we are passionate about great spicy food -- our only requirement is, "enjoy yourself"!

Can I host my own Hot & Spicy event?

Yes! Anyone can host an event!

Have you found a great local restaurant willing to take hold back nothing in terms of spicy goodness? Let's check it out!

Please don't hesitate to go to the group page and schedule a new meetup event for your favorite spicy hangouts.

Should I be aware of any rules?

It helps a TON in planning to get an accurate head count of those who will be attending each event. Therefore, our only rule is that if you RSVP 'Yes' and can't make it to the event, please update your RSVP to 'No'.

NOTICE- due to the excessive amount of no-shows recently, the Twin Cities Hot and Spicy Food Lovers meetup group will begin enforcement of a 'three strikes, you're out' policy.
People who RSVP 'Yes' and do not attend the restaurant meetup will be noted, and messaged each time until they have dropped out 3 times. They will have their membership terminated subsequently. Noon on the meetup day will be the final cutoff to switch to a 'No' RSVP.
This policy is to insure our reservations do not inconvenience the restaurant due to a turnout that is less than was confirmed beforehand. It will also allow anyone who really desires to go with the group to be able to attend. Most restaurants can handle large groups, the limit will be increased as much as possible.
Hopefully your RSVP'S will reflect an intent to join the group and enjoy another meal together. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
