Offered every other Wednesday via Zoom, this gathering begins with a brief period of meditation to settle the body and mind.
We then read selected articles from publications such as Lion’s Roar and Tricycle Magazine, allowing the teachings to spark thoughtful conversation and shared insight.
Together, we explore how these timeless perspectives meet our everyday lives — with space for quiet reflection, heartfelt discussion, and community connection.
Whether you are new to meditation or have been practicing for years, you are warmly welcome.

Following meditation, we explore thought-provoking articles from publications such as Lion's Roar and Tricycle: The Buddhist Review. At times, we also view short video teachings from respected teachers including Pema Chödrön, Thich Nhat Hanh, Tara Brach, and others.
Together, we engage in open and meaningful discussion, exploring questions such as:
- How does this teaching relate to our everyday lives?
- What challenges or opportunities does it illuminate?
- How might we put these insights into practice during the coming week?
No prior meditation experience or Buddhist background is required. Whether you are new to contemplative practice or have been practicing for years, you are warmly welcome.

Introduction to Meditation & The Four Immeasurables

Please join us on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 7:15–8:30 PM for an evening of meditation, reflection, and community.
This free program is open to everyone, from beginners to experienced meditators. We will offer basic guided meditation instruction, along with a brief talk on the Four Immeasurables and their relevance in challenging times.
The Four Immeasurables are:
• Loving-Kindness
• Compassion
• Sympathetic Joy
• Equanimity
These four qualities provide practical training in opening the heart and cultivating a more meaningful, balanced, and satisfying life.
Following the meditation and talk, there will be time for questions, discussion, tea, and light refreshments.
We look forward to welcoming you to this free, relaxing, and engaging, introduction to meditation and contemplative practice.
