About us
Welcome to the Hudson Valley Fantasy Fiction and TTRPG Society!
We're a group of avid fantasy readers, writers, RPG-players, and cinephiles. If you’re looking to meet new people, grow your friend circle, chat about nerdy books and movies, sharpen your writing skills, or find your next D&D group — this may be the club for you!
You don’t need to live in the Hudson Valley to join. Anyone that loves fantasy is welcome to attend our events. 🙂
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- 21+ Only: We read/watch/discuss content with mature themes and occasionally meet in bars. For that reason, our members must be at least 21 years old
- BIPOC & Queer Friendly: Our club has zero tolerance for hate or discrimination
We were previously known as the Hudson Valley Fantasy Readers and have rebranded as we expanded the scope of our events. Our book club is still going strong and you can find details for it below:

MORE ABOUT OUR CLUB:
If you're looking for a place to read (or re-read!) and discuss fantasy and/or mythology books, you've come to the right place! We read a mix of popular fantasy, romantasy, mythology, and older literature with fantasy elements. From ancient Greek tragedies to Legends & Lattes.
This is a 21+ (we read books with adult themes and sometimes meet in bars) LGBT+ friendly book club. We don't exclusively read queer books, and you don't need to be queer to join, but you MUST be an ally comfortable reading books where queer themes, characters, and relationships are present either in the background or in a central capacity.
We also have a Discord for continued discussions and easier book voting. After attending an in-person event you'll be given an invitation to the Discord via message on Meetup. :-)
