No experience or partner required. Note that this Meetup is sponsored by swing experts Linda and Chester Freeman of Got2Lindy Dance Studios, which has thousands of participants in the Hudson Valley. Swing into midsummer with an evening of dancing and live music in this jaw-dropping historic performance hall featuring a dancer’s dream of 4,000 square feet of beautiful wood floor and acoustics worthy of an old opera house!
Start with a beginner-friendly Lindy Hop lesson led by Chester and Linda of Got2Lindy Dance Studios before taking to the floor with live music by Eight to the Bar. The evening also includes a performance by The Got2Lindy Hoppers.
Lindy Hop began at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, where dancers of all backgrounds filled the massive dance floor. That history continues to shape how the dance is practiced and shared today. Got2Lindy Dance Studios and Hudson Hall are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
