The formal presentation will start at noon:
Rachel Deitch, Policy and Political Director for the American Humanist Association will be our speaker. Below is a short description of her talk.
"The world is on fire. What the hell do we do about it? Policy, politics, and advocacy in the time of christian nationalism"

Brief description: Christian nationalism is no longer at the fringes of our political process. It is embodied by Cabinet Secretaries, congressional leadership, and a loud and powerful groundswell that is controlling not just the public narrative, but our rights to live free from discrimination and harm. The American Humanist Association's and Center for Freethought Equality's policy and political director, Rachel Deitch, will briefly discuss what we are seeing in Washington before discussing in greater detail what we--the AHA, humanist communities, and concerned individuals--can and should be doing about it from an advocacy and policy perspective.
