Looking for the most unforgettable movie night in Austin this summer? Join us for JAWS on the Water—Alamo Drafthouse’s legendary floating film experience—at Volente Beach Resort & Waterpark on Lake Travis.

This immersive, thrill-packed event combines outdoor cinema, waterpark fun, and the adrenaline of watching JAWS while floating in the very water below you.
As the sun sets over Lake Travis, you’ll kick back in a custom inner tube (yours to keep!) and watch the original 1975 JAWS on a massive outdoor screen. Your ticket includes early access to the waterpark, exclusive ride time, and a front-row seat to one of the most talked-about movie experiences in Texas. This year’s screenings are part of a broader JAWS Summer Celebration presented in partnership with the Texas Lottery, adding even more energy, surprises, and limited-time giveaways.
We’ll be meeting inside the venue after doors open at 5 PM—check the Meetup chat for exact location updates. Come early to enjoy the rides, grab food and drinks, and connect with other fun-loving Austinites before the movie begins.

Tickets are $65 or $42 depending on if you want to BYOT.

VERY IMPORTANT INFO - PLEASE READ & SHARE WITH YOUR CREW

Age Policy: No unaccompanied minors under 18. All children 12 & under are required to wear a life jacket while in the water. Ages 6 & under are not allowed in the water or at the waterpark. Lifejackets will NOT be provided. You must bring your own.
Liability Waiver: Every attendee will be required to sign a waiver before being granted access to the event or venue. No exceptions. Anyone who refuses to sign will not be allowed into the event.
Event Times: Doors will open at 5pm for our guests. JAWS will begin around 8:45pm / after sunset.
Water Depth: The water will be up to 60 feet deep. Please plan accordingly to make yourself comfortable and safe. If you or a guest is not a strong swimmer, please bring and wear a lifejacket. Lifejackets will NOT be provided. You must bring your own.
Terrain: Volente Beach is rocky near the water, covers a lot of acreage, and has a pretty steep incline from the parking lot to the water. Please wear appropriate footwear.
Not Responsible for Lost or Stolen Items: There are no lockers onsite so please leave all valuables at home.
Be Cool: We will not tolerate harassment, aggression, or abuse from or toward any guest. Be cool or we will have you removed.
Be Ready: You know we like surprises and things that go bump in the dark... and in the water. Be ready for anything!
Food and Beverage: Volente will have food and drinks available for purchase onsite.
Parking: Parking is available about a block away from the venue entrance. Digital payment only - no cash. Use code JAWS50 for discounted ($5) parking. Parking is LIMITED, so please plan accordingly! Carpooling is highly recommended.
Movie Viewing: There will be no beach view access, you will have to be in the water to view the screen.
Pets: No pets are allowed inside the park.
Rain or Shine: Event will occur Rain or Shine. In the event of serious storms that force event cancelation, options will be given to refund the ticket or attend another night.
Sales Are Final: So long as the Event occurs, all ticket sales are FINAL; no refunds will be given within 7 days of the scheduled event. If you need to transfer your ticket to another party, however, that can be arranged.
