True Crime Roundtable: The Yogurt Shop Murders Docuseries Discussion - Episode 1

Details
Calling all true crime lovers, armchair detectives, and anyone curious about Austin’s most haunting unsolved case.
Over 30 years ago, four teenage girls were brutally murdered inside an I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt shop in Austin. The horrific 1991 crime stunned the community, haunted investigators, and forever changed the identity of what was once a quiet college town.
Now, The Yogurt Shop Murders—a gripping new four-part documentary series directed by Austin filmmaker Margaret Brown—is revisiting the case with fresh interviews, never-before-seen footage, and emotional perspectives from victims' families, investigators, and the two men who were wrongfully imprisoned for nearly a decade.
Join us the Monday after for a thought-provoking group discussion about one of Austin’s darkest and most chilling crimes. Whether you’re a lifelong Austinite or new to the city, this story has shaped the cultural memory of Austin—and it’s time we talk about it.
The first episode, previewed at SXSW, reportedly left nearly every audience member in tears.
The Yogurt Shop Murders premieres August 3 at 9 PM on HBO, with new episodes every Sunday. Catch the Trailer here.
