We are heading to Murray Hill! @AuntieChins loves Mahjong! Who else? Come celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year with Mahjong festivities. We will once again be throwing a Fundraiser for @DoForOneNYC, a non-profit which is near and dear to my heart. It emphasizes not DEVALUING people based on mental/physical disabilities. Feel free to Get Involved by attending the next DFO Info Session 3/16!
We’re ringing in the Year of the Horse the HOPE way…with tiles, community, and culture. There will be Asian snacks & drinks throughout the day or feel free to bring your own to share. All proceeds will go towards Do For One
Join us at The Hub for a special Mahjong Night celebrating our Lunar New Year collaboration. Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to the game, everyone is welcome. We’ll have a dedicated teaching table for anyone who wants to learn, plus open play tables for experienced players ready to run it! There will be no point minimums and style of play will be Hong Kong. Most wins throughout the session will arrive at the Final Table to Crown 1 Mahjong Champion per Session. Champions may even win a Prize :)

Will Mahjong be taught? I have never played before. Yes
Can I play other games like Uno or Rummikub or Big2 instead? Yes, they will be available for play.

Chef Alex Chang and sommelier Lina Goujjane of Kiko, recently named to Esquire’s “Best New Restaurants” list, join forces with Chefs Lester Walker and Jon Gray, co-founders of Ghetto Gastro, who DON'T LIKE TO BE PUT IN A BOX. A special dinner introducing Gray’s new restaurant, GOURMEGA!
In just under a year, Kiko has become a downtown fixture, earning a devoted following for its globally informed, ingredient-driven cooking and Lina Goujjane’s sharply curated wine and sake program. For this collaboration, Chang’s Asian-accented cuisine, shaped by his multicultural background and international training, meets Walker’s Afro-Asiatic culinary point of view, a framework that traces the deep, often overlooked connections between African, Asian, and diasporic foodways.
Gourmega, a café in Little Africa (Greenwich Village), extends this vision into a new kind of cultural table rooted in the legacy of Black and immigrant New York while pushing toward the future of food. The menu brings these two kitchens into conversation, weaving Chang’s signature style with an early expression of Gourmega through dishes that move between memory and migration.

Replacing the now shuttered Hear & There space, Executive Chef Mark Nobello (formerly Atoboy - Michelin Plate 🍽️) is killing it! . He draws inspiration from Northeastern waters, Japanese and Korean flavors, and the creative freedom of a studio kitchen. His dishes are shaped by technique, seasonality, and global influence. I already went for this Deal TWICE (PICTURED) and can confirm they did not skimp on the BOGO so this is a No-Brainer! Chef Frankie and his team are constantly evolving the dishes! We love this place! Originally slated for 1/6-1/17, this deal has been extended! Since it is only valid for an 8pm reservation, please RSVP responsibly! I remember when it was a steal at $125/pp and now with all the Omakase Wars, they reduced it to 15/$100, which is still a steal even sans discount!
