About us

The Inland Empire Atheists and Agnostics is a fun and active non-profit community for Atheists, Agnostics, Skeptics, Humanists, Free-thinkers and others who don't believe in any gods or follow any religions.
We seek to be an active force for good in our community and the lives of non-believers. Every month, our members host fun and welcoming social events, engage in intellectual discussions, and host entertaining and educational speakers in the Riverside, Redlands, and Inland Empire area.
We welcome you to join us and become a part of our community today! To learn more about the leadership of the IEAAH, or become involved as an Organizer, please click Here.

Looking for Your People? Looking for Purpose? Looking for a Way to Matter?

Looking for Your People? Looking for Purpose? Looking for a Way to Matter?

Arlington Library, 9556 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA, US

This month, we're setting aside our usual Skeptics Forum format for something different.
We're inviting you to help answer a question that many thoughtful people quietly wrestle with:
How do I find my people?
In a world where many of us feel isolated, disconnected, and unsure where we fit, finding a
community of like-minded people can be life-changing.
Imagine a place where you don't have to carefully edit every thought before you speak. A place
where curiosity is welcomed, differences are celebrated, questions are encouraged, science is respected, education is respected and all kinds of compassion
matters. A place where you can build genuine friendships with people who understand your
worldview. That is what we hope to create together.
This gathering is not about listening to a speaker.
It's about building a community.
It's about finding your tribe.
It's about creating a place where skeptics, atheists, agnostics, humanists, freethinkers, and the
merely curious can come together not only to discuss ideas, but to form meaningful connections
and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Humanists believe that if there is no higher power coming to save us, then we must be the ones
who help one another.

We believe that people are capable of extraordinary kindness, generosity, courage, and wisdom.
We believe that ordinary people working together can improve their communities and make life
better for others.
We want to be known not only for what we question, but for what we build.
Not only for what we don't believe, but for what we do.
We want to show our community that people can be good without God.
And we want to do it together.

At this meetup, we'll be asking some important questions:

  • Who are we?
  • What kind of community do we want to create?
  • What activities would make this group more meaningful, engaging, and FUN.
  • How can we better serve our local community?
  • What causes should we support?
  • What projects should we launch?
  • Where should we go from here?

We especially want to hear from both longtime members and people attending for the very first
time.

  • What events would you like to see?
  • Volunteer projects?
  • Social gatherings and parties?
  • Book clubs?
  • Game nights?
  • Science discussions?
  • Community outreach?
  • Advocacy efforts?
  • Educational programs?

Bring your ideas. Bring your imagination.
This is your chance to help shape what comes next.
We are also inviting anyone interested to take a more active role in the life of the organization.
Not because we need people to simply maintain what already exists, but because we need people
to help create what comes next.

Every thriving community depends on people who are willing to contribute a little of their time,
creativity, and energy.
Maybe that means helping organize a single event.
Maybe it means joining a committee.
Maybe it means helping welcome newcomers.
Maybe it means taking ownership of one small project that excites you.
Whatever your contribution, your voice matters.

For younger members especially, this is an opportunity to gain real leadership experience, learn
how large organizations operate, help guide important decisions, and make your ideas heard. If
you've ever wanted to help lead a community grounded in reason, science, compassion, and
human flourishing, we'd love to have you involved.
The future of this group should not be determined by a handful of people.
It should be shaped by all of us.

Together we can advocate for change in big ways and deliver change in small ways.
Together we can build friendships.
Together we can combat loneliness.
Together we can create purpose.
Together we can become a stronger voice for reason, science, critical thinking, and human
compassion.
Most of all, together we can create a community where people feel they belong.

We hope you'll join us.
