The obvious answer is that atheism is a lack of belief in a deity, not a personality type. However, studies show some statistical tendencies among atheists, such as higher levels of analytic thinking and education, and a greater likelihood of being younger and living in urban areas of developed countries. Atheists tend to be less swayed by faith-based reasoning, display less magical thinking, and are less likely to believe in any type of higher power. We eschew "spiritual, but not religious". Do we also tend toward a specific cognitive style? Are we all humanists? Are we introverts? Extroverts? A bit of everything? Join us as we explore our similarities and differences and discover a little bit more about what makes us tick.
Come for the presentation. Stay for the discussion. Leave with new ideas.
