Improv drop-in workshop - Exploring Relationships - with Rosey Waters

Details
Join us for an instructive and fun workshop - Exploring Relationships with Rosey Waters.
Step into the emotional core of improvisation with "The Heart of the Scene – Exploring Relationships," a dynamic workshop designed to help performers create compelling, authentic connections on stage. This session focuses on emotional listening, character dynamics, and the subtle power of subtext and silence to bring depth and truth to your scenes. Through guided exercises, scene work, and real-time feedback, participants will explore how relationships—whether tense, tender, or complex—can drive storytelling and elevate performance. Whether you're an experienced improviser or just starting out, this workshop offers a supportive space to take creative risks, build trust, and discover the richness that comes from playing with emotional honesty and grounded connection.
Rosey Waters has been a professional actor for over 35 years and improvisor since 2018. For the past 6 years, she has been half of the musical improv duo, Too Intense, which has been seen at venues around Boulder as well as at RISE Comedy and Chaos Bloom in Denver. Rosey is also a member of the documentary team, Alt Facts and performs improvised Shakespeare in Shake it Up Shakespeare! She is currently the director and an actor with Red Thread Playback Theater, an international online Playback Theatre company. Rosey has studied improv in Chicago including musical improv at io and long form at Second City and Annoyance Theatre.
This workshop will be held at The Louisville Underground (inside Tilt!, under Verde) from 7-9 pm. No experience necessary and beginners are always welcome. We'll have pizza, too.
