Workshop: Your Voice - Vocal Workshop with Susan Wood

Level up your voice to level up your improv!
We'll be learning about the vocal mechanism and how to expand vocal quality, character and range. We'll learn and practice the Farinelli breathing techniques and vocal stretches.

Activities include reading quotes using different voices and improvising using various scenarios and character voices. And we'll do improv scenes to practice using these vocal techniques.

Join local newer & experienced players (18 and older) for a fun and relaxed FREE improv workshop that will work on games and exercises that will broaden your improv knowledge & skills!

Susan Wood, vocal coach, teacher, singer and theatre performer, has been singing with the award-winning jazz quartet Satin for 13 years. They have performed in many festivals and concerts across the country and internationally, including opening for Herbie Hancock at the Greenwood Jazz Festival. Susan has also been in theatre productions such as The Music Man and Jesus Christ Superstar.

This workshop will be held at the Spark in Boulder from 7-9 pm. No experience necessary and beginners are always welcome.
