Special Game Night at IHL: ROOT

Join us for a one-night-only event focused on ROOT, a unique and strategic board game where each player controls a different faction competing for control of the forest.

This session is best suited for people who have played modern board games before — Root isn’t overly complex, but it does have a learning curve, especially for newcomers to the hobby. Don’t worry if you haven’t played Root specifically — we’ll explain the rules before we start.

# About the volunteers

Morgan seriously got into board games in 2020, lacking a big group, he started to build his own collection out of mostly two player games. He enjoys complex euro games with deep mechanics, fun social games and a lot in between!

Thomas has been living in Leuven for four years and has frequently attended events organized by IHL. After spending this time as a participant, he finally decided to start organizing events centered around his hobbies, particularly board games. A passionate enthusiast, Thomas enjoys all types of board games and often hosts gatherings at his home.

Pez, originally from the UK, is a digital nomad who settled in Leuven after several years of full time travel. He’s been here since 2020, and loves hosting events and activities for friends, family and people in town. At the weekend you’re likely to find him playing board games, hosting a gathering of friends, planning for his non-profit camping festival, or off exploring somewhere
