What we’re about
This is a Meetup group for anyone interested in the calming and life-affirming effects of meditation.
Whether it is due to work, school, or taking care of loved ones, many of us experience stress, anxiety, depression, and feelings of being alone or left out.
That is why the Dhammawood Meditation Center of California offers free meditation sessions for everyone interested. These sessions are conducted by a Sri Lankan Buddhist monk based on the original teachings of the Buddha (Theravada Buddhism).
Through the practice of meditation, you will begin to see life's events for what they truly are, minus the negative feelings. Only 5 minutes a day will help you feel more peaceful in situations where you would normally feel stressed, will help you find more joy in your day-to-day life, and will make you more present in your relationships.
We welcome you to come and experience relaxation, mental freedom, and inner peace from meditation.
