A reminder we are not a beginners meet-up. Picnic Bring food, drink and games to our summer picnic meet-up. The only rule- all drink must be Italian! Wine, beer, water ... whatever, as long as its Italian. :-) Obviously, given the British weather, it may be that we'll have to change the date on the Saturday morning but here is hoping! ;-) Summer Italian Picnic meet -up- near Gloucester Gate Parkway entrance. The closest tube station is Camden Town. Go to the Parkway (Gloucester Gate) entrance, turn left then go onto the grass along the fence. Keep walking and we'll be close to the trees - probably about 100 metres further-on ( St Katherines Gate on the map). Reminder: we are not a beginners meet-up. We'll be returning to one of the most popular venues, the historic old London pub- the Cittie of Yorke. Ci incontriamo Mercoledi 19.00, 12 Giugno al Cittie of Yorke, 22 High Holburn. La stazione della metropolitana piu' prossima e' Chancery Lane/ Holburn. We're meeting Wednesday, 12 June, at 7.00pm, at the beautiful old London pub, the Cittie of Yorke We'll be at the end of the bar, look for the flag - if I remember it! The nearest tube stations are Chancery Lane and Holborn. RSVP People are expected to RSVP correctly. People who do so will not be allocated places when we have limited attendees at events and those who do so consistently will be removed from the group.
The British Museum (https://britishmuseum.org/) houses a vast collection of world art and artifacts and is free to all visitors. So we're going to visit! The plan is to meet at the rear entrance, Montague Place,(https://britishmuseum.org/visiting.aspx) at 7pm on Friday 28 June. People will then visit the museum in small groups, depending on numbers. Basically, there are too many of us to be one group and people will want to see different things. We'll then meet outside at 8.15pm for a drink afterwards.
Something a little different for Saturday 6 July for those in London. We're going for a mini pub crawl along the Thames. We'll meet at the beautiful Blue Anchor (http://www.blueanchorlondon.com)on the River Thames in Hammersmith at 7.30 and then, at about 8.30, move onto another pub and then possibly, time permitting, even a third! Therefore don't be late! nice week cheers Simon
