ABOUT THE EVENT
The storyline is about German film crew that arrive in a village in northeastern Türkiye for a documentary project. They witness a recurring ritual. In the village, Melek, a 7-year-old Turkish girl lives, whose nanny is the Kurdish translator of the film crew. Zafer, her father works for an ominous group. Told in three chapters, In the Blind Spot is a cold and brutal political thriller set in a finely crafted and politically complicated geography and won the Golden Tulip at the Istanbul Film Festival.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Goethe Institute is a non-profit German cultural association operational worldwide with 159 institutes, promoting the study of the German language abroad and encouraging international cultural exchange and relations.
It's a lovely place with nice library & small canteen in Menteng - Central Jakarta. The venue & parking space are very limited, so we encourage you to register beforehand, come on time & using public transportation.

HOW TO REGISTER TO THE EVENT?
To register, just click “Attend”! There are a few simple rules

  • We kindly ask attendees who cannot manage to join to update RSVP at least 24 h before the event as a courtesy to other attendees and event organisers.
  • Be on time! Don’t be early! The event starts at the indicated time, and we cannot accommodate latecomers
  • People in the waitlist cannot attend, and are encouraged to check a few hours before the event if they got a spot
  • Repeated no-show (3X) without updating RSVP will be removed from the group.

WE HAVE A MEMBERSHIP FEE. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Since September 2024, our community has a membership fee of 200k IDR valid for 365 days after payment. Membership fee is offered with a promo discount to first-timers, who can become members for 120k IDR/year. First-timers can decide to attend one event for free and see if they like becoming part of this community. Membership to both Jakarta Friends and Jakarta Creatives is offered for only 220k IDR/year.

Membership gives access to all events plus exclusive perks available only to paying members, like for example our Birthday Celebrations with lucky draw prizes for 1+ mio IDR! At many events, attendees can bring a +1 for free.

Having a membership fee giving access to all events provides much more value to members than having a ticket fee for single events! We guarantee to keep organising plenty of events. You will receive a full refund if the group closes down, or if there’s no event happening in three months.
