ABOUT THE EVENT
Welcome to an enchanting journey through the historical & cultural heart of Jakarta! Ramadan Culinary Night provides a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where people of all backgrounds can come together to share in the joy of Ramadan and celebrate the diversity of culinary in interesting food destinations. This event will take you to explore some fantastic destinations: Kawasan Kuliner Pecenongan, Little India

We will meet at Kawasan Kuliner Pecenongan and end at Pos Bloc. Full details below. Be on time to join the group or you might not be able to find us anymore. You can join us later too, but it's your responsibility to find the group (by writing in the chat, etc).

Duration is approximately 3-4 hours, including optional free time at Pos Bloc. Please bring comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, an open mind for cultural exploration. We will go with any weather, even if it rains!

We encourage participants to engage respectfully with locals, take photographs in appropriate locations, and embrace the rich cultural diversity that Jakarta offers.

Approximate schedule:
17:00-17:30: Gather Around at Kawasan Kuliner Wisata Pecenongan
17:45-19:00: Walk around Kawasaki Kuliner Wisata Pecenongan and find a place to eat
19:00-20:00: Strolling around in Little India, moving to Pos Bloc
20:00-22:00: Spent time at Pos Bloc (taking pictures, closing)

HIGHLIGHTS:
Kawasan Kuliner Pecenongan
The Pecenongan Culinary Area is one of the famous culinary destinations in Jakarta, Indonesia. This area is located on Jalan Pecenongan, Central Jakarta, and is known as a culinary center that serves typical Betawi and Chinese dishes

Little India
Little India Pasar Baru is located in the Pasar Baru area, Central Jakarta. Pasar Baru itself is one of the historical areas in Jakarta which is known for its variety of textile, clothing and craft shops.

Pos Bloc
Pos Bloc in the Pasar Baru area was originally the first post office in Jakarta, located in the middle of the 19th century arts and cultural center of Batavia. Presenting the concept of the past with buildings that are closely related to the history of Batavia during the Dutch colonial period in the early 1900s. The revitalization carried out succeeded in attracting the attention of the local community and business people.

HOW TO REGISTER TO THE EVENT?
To register, just click “Attend”! There are a few simple rules:

• We kindly ask attendees who cannot manage to join to update RSVP at least 24h before the event as a courtesy to other attendees & organisers
• The event starts at the indicated time. Latecomers need to find us after we start walking
• People in the waitlist cannot attend, and will receive a spot if someone cancels
• Repeated no-show (3X) without updating RSVP will be kicked from the group

WE HAVE A MEMBERSHIP FEE. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Since October 2024, our community has a membership fee of 300k IDR valid for 365 days after payment. Membership fee is offered with a promo discount to new members and first-timers, who can become members for 220k IDR/year. That's only 20-25k IDR/month, and there's plenty of value in becoming a member! Bundle promo to join both JakFri and Jakarta Creative (yearly membership fee rate: 200k IDR) is offered at only 320k IDR.

First-timers can decide to attend one event for free and see if they like becoming part of this community. Membership can be paid on the spot (cash/bank transfer/Gopay). Text Corrado (+62 89211 489 3580) if you have any questions about membership.

Membership gives access to all events plus exclusive perks available only to paying members, like our Birthday Celebrations with lucky draws! At many events you can bring a +1 for free. Persons who bring a +1 are responsible to make sure that the guest understands and respects the rules of our community.

We guarantee to keep organizing plenty of events. You will receive a full refund if the group closes down, or if there’s no event happening in three months.

THE RULES OF OUR COMMUNITY
Our communities are Jakarta Friends & Jakarta Creatives. Members often participate in events of both groups. Over the past two years we held over 200 events with over 2,000 attendees. Attendees rate our events very positively and give wonderful feedback.
