JakFri and JakCre is the biggest, oldest, most active, and most inclusive MeetUp community in Jakarta… and we invite you to join us to join us for this DIGITAL DETOX evening in THE SKY! No phones will be allowed during this event! Let's log off and talk to each other in real life!

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join this very special event and take a look at luxury cars (Ferrari, Porsches, and more) before heading up to a cozy rooftoop café & resto with a stunning view of the elevated MRT train and the JakSel skyline, have a bite and drink with fellow Jakarta Friends and play a few rounds of free pool (billiard) in this fabulous terrace overlooking the city!

An informal and intimate evening where we favour authentic connections and conversations instead of big, loud group where you don't manage to go past the superficial "where are you from" and "what do you do" questions.

When checking in, everyone will be reminded not to use their phone. This is an event were we disconnect and enjoy each other presence! No phones are allowed for the duration of the event! Will you manage? 😉

This is a unique event with very limited places as the café is small. There's a table reserved for us inside (airco & non-smoking). First-timers are particularly encouraged to join! Reserve your spot today and make sure you update your RSVP if you cannot come. No show = kicked from the group.

Our events are introvert friendly and we favour authenticity! Everyone is always welcome to join our events. For this event, we have chosen a small café with an astonishing view and a delicious and diverse food menu. The location is excellent and the view of the MRT train passing a few meters away is absolutely epic.

At the entrance of the building there is a shop for luxury cars and you are invitated to take a stroll and feel free to buy one 😉 Be prepared to identify yourself with ID at the entrance for security reasons. Then you can head up with the elevator to the rooftop terrace (having both an inside area with airco and outside/smoking area with pool table). A table is reserved for us under the name "MeetUp".

The event starts at 6.30 PM and I strongly recommend to arrive on time. The kitchen closes at 8 PM for the last order. Don't be late and don't miss this opportunity to have an authentic evening with locals and international new friends. We will ask for a split bill and everyone will be paying what they consume. Pool is free!

• Rocket Café Fatmawati is located near the MRT Fatmwati (5 minutes walking distance) and we strongly recommend you to skip the hassle of macet, leave the car somewhere, and join by MRT.
• The restaurant closes at 9 PM and last order is at 8 PM. The place is small, and attendance to this event is limited to 6 persons.

If you cannot join, please update your RSVP at least 24h before the event as respect to the organiser and people in the waitlist. No-shows will be kicked out of the group.

There will be a table reserved for us under MeetUp. At the counter on the main entrance (first floor) you will be required to show your ID and indentify yourself to be let into the building as they care about security and a safe space.

• As the place is small, only 6 guests can attend this event and no +1 are allowed. You are most welcome to bring a +1 at another event!

Our community has a monthly membership fee that can be paid through the app (2 USD/month or about 33k IDR/month).

Membership can also be paid as a yearly membership of 320k IDR valid for 365 days after payment. Membership fee is offered with a promo discount to first-timers, who can become members for 240k IDR/year.

First-timers can decide to join with a sneek peak price of 50k IDR & pay the remaining 270k IDR at the next event they attend. Registered +1 can attend for free.

Renewals (after 365 days) and upgrades (to join JakCre) are offered at a special rate. All this is aimed at encouraging people to sign up, and then to attend as many events as they like!

ABOUT THE EVENT

Just join and enojoy a simple and wonderful occasion to connect authentically with people. We will sit down and eat togehter. Everyone is welcome to join. First-timers particularly welcomed! Our community is inclusive and favours autentic connections and conversations.

We will meet from 7.30 PM and share some delicious food! I encourage everyone to be on time so that we can decide together what to order and try many different things. At the end, we will share the bill in equal parts (except for the booze). You can arrive later but be aware that we might already have started eating. If you prefer to order your own food and pay your own bill, that's possible, but please communicate this clearly to avoid miscommunications. The idea is that we share food and try many different dishes!

After the food, if we feel like, we can go somewhere nearby and continue the evening with a drink.

WALK & TALK! 1 city, 2 persons, 3 hours 🚶🚶🏻‍♀️🏙️

1 city, 2 persons, 3 hours. The idea is very simple: let's connect with another human being while exploring the city by foot. Take as many stops as you want, of course (you don't need to walk for three hours straight)!

This is a ticketed event. All surplus from this activity will be donated to a local charity that all participants choose together in June 2026!

In this event, one person will be the tour leader, and one attendee will be the guest. The idea is that the tour leader presents a part of the city they know well, but it's also possible that the leader choses a part of the city they'd like to explore. The guest, too, can go along and follow or suggest routes without the need to feel like a passive participant.

There's no fixed topic of conversation and both participants can suggest topics related to the city, personal interests, news, or anything else.

Corrado has been living in Jakarta for 4 years and organising meetup events since 3 years. He enjoys discovering new cultures, has a background in science, and speaks several languages (Bahasa Indonesia sedikit aja). He loves talking aobut movies and literature, and enjoys authentic connections.
