Companies are investing heavily in aligning their products and services to work in Kubernetes. Why such hype? Is it time for you too to adopt these technologies?

What does Kubernetes provide that makes it such an elegant solution for orchestration? What is Docker? Why containers? How are they different from Virtual Machines? What's the future of container technologies? Are containers secure? Are organisations using it in production? Is it possible to run stateful workloads in Kubernetes? Are there any alternatives to Docker and Kubernetes?
