Bannerman's Castle to Plum Pt.

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE SIGNING UP!

Please get there in time to unload, park your car and be in the water at noon. The parking is at the Cold Spring Metro North train station. Stage your boats in the grassy area, do not block the launch.

We paddle north to Bannerman's Castle, enjoying the scenery as we circle around. Then we'll cross over to a lunch break at Plum Point. If the group wants we can venture into the marsh before our return. Approximate total distance 10 miles. You must be able to keep a moderate pace with the group.

PFD's MUST be worn & fastened at all times. Sea Kayaks 14' minimum with bulkheads and/or flotation bags, no inflatables, rafts, SOT's. Surf skis OK. No pets. Everyone is responsible for themselves and should know how to assist and/or self-rescue. You should be able to paddle 10 miles in a day & keep up with the group. If you haven't paddled with us this season, please sign a waiver good for the year. Pack a change of clothes in a drybag, lunch, sunscreen, whatever you need for a day trip. Dress for immersion.

There is a porta-potty at the launch area. Plum Pt has bathrooms. My cell if needed (845) 548-2198.
