The Wilber-Combs Lattice (which connect states and stages) is key to understanding Christianity as it is for spirituality in general. Ken describes how the perspective of Christ changes from each stage of development and how experiences of states color each stage. Just selecting 5 stages and 3 states we get 15 different views of Christ consciousness. The move from the mythic stage to the rational stage of Christianity is especially tricky in our culture and manifests partially as the culture wars.
Father Thomas Keating and Ken Wilber talk about the rich and deep Christian contemplative tradition which has been present since the beginning 2000 years ago but has been largely overshadowed by the need and pressure to believe in the literal story of the Gospels.
We'll watch the first disc of this two disk set (1 hour 30 min) and pause as the energy flows to discussion and sharing.
