~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My name is Steven Vedro. I have recently completed a book about the esoteric themes encoded in the web of electronic communications that surrounds the planet -- as above, so below! Digital Dharma has just been released by the THEOSOPHICAL PUBLISHING HOUSE (Quest Books) this October, and I am now on a national book tour.
I have already been invited to speak to the Theosophical communities in Denver and Chicago, have presented at the Institute of Noetic Sciences National Conference in Palm Springs this August and to IONS and Ken Wilber Meet-Up groups around the country.
If we could arrange it, I would love to talk to your community, discuss, or lead a meditation based upon the lessons of the Infosphere that mirror the challenges we all face on the path of evolving consciousness. We can discuss the details should you be interested in having me as a guest.
The Nov/Dec. 2007 issue of ForeWord Magazine will include a review of the fall release. Here's a preview of the article by reviewer Chris Arvidson:
"Rejecting Luddite anguish about the negative effects of the digital age, Digital Dharma is not just another guidebook for turning off the Internet or tossing the television out the window. Vedro has written an intellectually rigorous instructional guide to help readers realize and expand the possibilities for spiritual and technological understanding".
"Vedro's writing is researched with references to spiritual, philosophical, and sociological writers and thinkers, as well as contemporary technology experts including academics, bloggers, and industry sources. He concludes the chakra-focused chapters with visualization exercises, making good on the "User's Guide" sub-title of the book"
"The author's writing is accessible as well as cleverly amusing. Readers generally interested in spirituality, meditation and yoga will find Vedro's work original, but it is the technologically-minded who will be the most challenged to scrutinize their inner lives. Digital Dharma's fresh take on the digital age tests mundane ways of thinking and being in the information age."
Best wishes and more light!
