What we’re about
Welcome to the Konenki Menopause Support Group!
In Japanese culture, "Konenki" signifies "renewal years" and "energy," reflecting a positive and empowering perspective on menopause as a time of personal growth and transformation.
Our group is dedicated to embracing this philosophy by providing a supportive community for women navigating the peri-menopausal and menopausal journey. We offer both online and in-person events, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all members. All events are free or low-cost, with any fees solely covering food or facility expenses.
We are proud to collaborate with the region's most highly-vetted menopause providers, who will share their expertise and offer educational sessions at our events.
Join us to connect with like-minded women, gain valuable insights, and celebrate this transformative phase of life together.
We look forward to welcoming you to our community!

The Emotional Edge of Perimenopause & Menopause
·OnlineOnlineClick here to register: LINK
Perimenopause has a way of surfacing emotions women have carried quietly for years. Anxiety rises. Patience thins. Rage appears in moments that feel out of proportion. Many women wonder why they suddenly feel overwhelmed even as they continue to hold families, careers, and relationships together.
In this candid and grounded conversation, menopause nurse practitioner Nancy Roy and certified menopause specialist coach Micheline Nader come together to illuminate what is actually happening beneath the surface. They will explore how hormonal fluctuations intersect with the weight of midlife responsibilities, why anxiety is often acknowledged while rage remains unspoken, and how women can begin to recognize these emotional surges as signals rather than personal shortcomings.
This session is designed to blend scientific clarity with real-world wisdom. Nancy will explain the biological and hormonal patterns that shape emotional intensity during perimenopause. Micheline will speak to the psychological and identity-level shifts women encounter in midlife, offering simple grounding practices that help restore presence during moments of overwhelm. Together, they will create a space where women can understand their experiences without shame and begin to access steadier ground.
