ABOUT THE MINDFULNESS HIKE:
Join us on the Cristianitos South Trail along the back edge of San Clemente and the Rancho Mission Viejo Conservancy. This hike offers some of the most scenic hiking in Coastal Orange County.

We begin our journey at the small parking lot at the very end of Avenida Talega in San Clemente. The trail starts off with a very steep incline. Then, the trail levels off, and continues as a rollercoaster, moderately challenging route. The reward is a hilltop resting spot with benches alongside mature Toyon and Lemonade Berry.

Rachel is our trail guide and California native plant expert. We will stop to look, listen and discuss any different plants, birds, and natural features we see. This is a highly interpretive hike - we will pause to look at anything interesting or just to hang out at different spots and appreciate our surroundings.

Treeesa, our Mindfulness and Somatic Coach, leads gentle mindfulness practices (including Qi Gong) along the trail to help us transmute stress, harmonize the mind-body-soul, calm and regulate the nervous system and drop into the present moment.

This is an intermediate hike on a dirt trail with rocks, brush and hills. There are steep hills and some large ruts in the trail, so proper hiking shoes or boots with non-slip traction soles are a must. Long pants or workout leggings are highly recommended on this uneven terrain. Hiking poles or a walking stick are highly recommended if you need extra support on the trails.

WHERE TO MEET:
Using Google Maps - drive to Avenida Talega and Camino Tierra Grande in San Clemente. The Cristianitos South Trail is along the back edge of San Clemente. We will meet in the small parking lot at the very end of Avenida Talega in San Clemente. Cross street is Camino Tierra Grande.
