Details

Has Nature Journaling and/or Outdoor Sketching peeked your interest in the birds you hear or see? The Mesilla Valley Audubon Society is offering basic birding classes in September.

Birding Basics, Three Tuesdays, September 2, 9, and 16, 6:30 – 8 p.m.
This three-evening class taught by a team of experienced birders is geared toward the beginning birder. It will cover a wide range of topics, such as learning to identify birds, using apps and field guides, where to find birds in our area, using binoculars, bird photography basics, conservation for birds, plants to attract birds to your yard, and much more. There will be two optional field trips, one to Tellbrook Park on September 6 at 8 a.m. and the second to Leasburg Dam State Park on September 13 at 8 a.m.

Feel free to share this email with your friends and sign up today! A flier for the Birding Basics class is also attached that you can share with others.
