We will leave Skyline at 8:00 am. And start the hike from black star canyon at 8:30 am. If you’re coming from OC side, going straight to black star canyon be there 8:25, we will start at 8:30 sharp.
This is a one way hike over the mountains from OC to Corona! The entire hike is on fire roads, starting from black star canyon waterfalls trailhead OC side, up to the historic black star canyon Indian village, to the fire road road below Corona Doppler ball and head down Riverside county side to Skyline trail Dr, where our cars are parked. The climb and descent are moderate, but the distance and the heat can make this hike relatively tough.
Once on the summit you are rewarded with great views in every direction, assuming we get a nice clear day. Santa Catalina and all of our local mountain ranges should be visible. We will take a break along the summit, enjoy the views, a snack and drinks.
After the hike, for those interested, we will have lunch or dinner at J sushi on green river road.
After lunch, those parked from OC side, will get a ride back to their cars.
If you will be parked OC side, please mention in comments after rsvp, to make sure there’s place in ride back.
