Gunung Arong Recreational Forest is a forest reserve in Mersing District, Johor. Visitors to Gunung Arong Recreational Forest can enjoy the stream that runs through the forest. At the peak, hikers are rewarded with magnificent panoramic views of the South China Sea and its neighboring islands. On a clear weather, you can see Pulau Tioman.

The trail is quite okay (suitable for beginner hikers) and one can reach at the summit in less than an hour. Its 898 feet to summit enough satisfy your craving for nature adventure. As you exit this protected forest is a beautiful beach awaiting you with the white sands and the sea calling you to take a dip and be refreshed!
