Conflict is often seen as a breakdown. But mediators see it differently — as raw material for collaboration. Mediators work by applying a distinct mindset and set of thinking tools that help people reframe problems and find joint progress.

In this interactive workshop, we’ll introduce a practical toolkit that helps you transform disputes into dialogue, hostility into understanding, and stand-offs into solutions.

What We’ll Be Doing
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with 2–3 tools you’ve actively practiced and can immediately apply in workplace discussions, negotiations, or personal relationships

Mediation is about dialogue — so you’ll be actively engaging in group discussions, reflections, and role plays. Together, we’ll practice:

• Shifting from Positions to Interests: uncovering underlying needs behind surface demands
• Reframing: translating hostile language into constructive signals
• Neutrality Lens: reducing bias to see both sides clearly
• Option Generation: moving from zero-sum thinking to joint problem-solving

About Our Guest Speaker
Petra Sofia Hornakova is an Organisational Change & Human Capital Consultant passionate about helping organisations navigate transformation through behavioural science, mediation, and practical consulting.

With a background as a doctoral researcher in organizational psychology and recognition as a court-appointed mediator, Petra brings both academic depth and hands-on expertise in guiding people through conflict and change.
