The Literary Coven of Denver is a book club for anyone who loves fantasy, sci-fi, romance, and everything in between. Meetings are held once a month in different locations around Denver to discuss last month's book, and polls are held to determine upcoming books about six weeks out.

October's Novel: 'Slewfoot' by Brom

Our meetings start loosely as people come in, get settled, and go to acquire what food and beverages they like. After everyone arrives or about a half hour has passed, we officially start the book discussion. Towards the end we set plans for the book poll and future meetings.
This meeting is at Barquentine Brewing Company. The brewery offers a variety of drinks and is part of Edgewater Public Market which has a wide range of small restaurants from which orders can be carried in. Please purchase what you can from Barquentine to be courteous to the company hosting us.

13200 East 14th Place, 13200 E 14th Pl, Aurora, CO 80011, USA, Aurora, CO, USMileHiCon is Denver's annual convention for SF/F with a heavy focus on literature and authors. This year the guests of honor are T.Kingfisher, John Scalzi, Andy VanOverberghe, and Stace Johnson, plus many more.
This meetup event is not a specific meeting, itself, but is instead a channel for everyone who's going to the convention to communicate through.
I'm planning on going this year and hopefully we all who attend can find some times to meet, hang out, get some meals together, maybe play some of the board games, and who knows what else. There's a lot going on during those three days and the exact schedule of all the programs won't become available until much closer to the event. Everyone attending will be figuring out their own plan, but we'll be able to use this event's comment section to coordinate.
