About us
The Literary Coven of Denver is a book club for anyone who loves fantasy, sci-fi, romance, and everything in between. Meetings are held once a month in different locations around Denver to discuss last month's book, and polls are held to determine upcoming books about six weeks out.

June's Novel: The Sword of Kaigen by M.L. Wang

Our meetings start loosely as people come in, get settled, and go to acquire what food and beverages they like. After everyone arrives or about a half hour has passed, we officially start the book discussion. Towards the end we set plans for the book poll and future meetings.
This meeting is at Barquentine Brewing Company. The brewery offers a variety of drinks and is part of Edgewater Public Market which has a wide range of small restaurants from which orders can be carried in. Please purchase what you can from Barquentine to be courteous to the company hosting us.

Extra: Summer Reading Double Feature
Lowry Beer Garden, 7577 East Academy Boulevard, Denver, CO, USOur group has been curiously on the edge of reading some exotic smut titles for a while now, so it's about time we dive in and give the genre a real try! Read one or read both, then come and have a good laugh talking about them! This is meeting is for discussing 'Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer' by Lola Faust and 'Blood Lust' by AB Cynthe.
Our meetings start loosely as people come in, get settled, and go to acquire what food and beverages they like. This one is going to be less of an organized discussion and more having fun and enjoying the summer.
This meeting is at Lowry Beer Garden, a large outdoor venue with beer, drinks, and food available. It is also pet friendly if your animal is alright with crowds.

July's book description:
'Nettle and Bone' by T. Kingfisher (2022) - 256 pagesMarra ― a shy, convent-raised, third-born daughter ― is relieved not to be married off for the sake of her parents’ throne. Her older sister wasn’t so fortunate though, and her royal husband is as abusive as he is powerful.
