Imagine Well Being Meetups offer holistic wellness practices, outdoor events, and education, built on values of compassion and service.

We are about fostering community with others who enjoy the relaxation and evidenced based benefits that relaxing in nature brings.
Participants will discover how holistic practices in nature can enhance health and help balance the mind, body and soul in ways that will prepare them to live everyday life in more wholehearted way.

🌲 Description:
In collaboration with the wonderful nonprofit Washington Women Outdoors, we're delighted to offer an immersive experience that gently harmonizes your mind, body, and spirit guided by forest therapy invitations in the crisp air and the soothing presence of flowing water.
Ease into a relaxed state through a series of forest bathing invitations along the banks of the Potomac River. Enjoy some of the many benefits of forest bathing, such as increased mental clarity and mood, a boost in immune system function, and regulation of heart rate and blood pressure. Then gather around the campfire for forest tea and experience the soothing vibrations and sounds of singing bowls with guided mindful movement. We will walk a total of 1 ½ flat miles along the C & O Canal Towpath.

👋🏼 Meeting Point:
Meet at 9:50 AM in the parking lot.
We start at 10 AM.

🚙 Parking: Lock #29- Meet next to the Lock House- Google Map Location

🚻 Miscellaneous: Restrooms are available near the start point.

🌤️ Weather: Cool Temperatures.

🎒 PREPARATION:

  • Comfortable Layers
  • Hat & Gloves
  • Water
  • Snack if desired (one will be provided)

    Join Nancy Morgan, Director Emeritus, Georgetown Lombardi Arts and Humanities Program, for this opportunity on the first Thursday of each month to enjoy the combined health benefits of time spent in nature and writing thoughts and feelings. Writing is often considered a solo, reflective practice, but writing in the company of others can be a supportive, community building activity that encourages regular practice. Each session is a stand-alone event – come when you are able. Registration for each session is open through the morning of the workshop. View directions to the Gate House.

    Experience a morning of mindful movement along the historic C&O Canal. We’ll begin with a guided Forest Therapy experience to awaken the senses and deepen connection to the natural world, followed by a gentle cycling journey beside the Potomac River. This immersive experience invites you to find balance, flow, and renewed energy in motion and stillness.

    Sunset Fire & Water: A Sensory Journey in Nature

    🌿 Description: Join us for an immersive evening at Sweet Run that draws inspiration from the elements of fire and water. We’ll begin with a guided walk along Piney Run, inviting sensory connection with the forest and flowing water. Through mindful invitations, we’ll slow down, listen, smell, touch, and observe the living landscape. After the walk, we’ll gather around a campfire in the meadow to sip wild-foraged forest tea and share in the warmth of community. The evening will close with a soothing sound bath, letting vibrations echo the calm of the water and the glow of the flames.

    🥾 What we'll do:
    A forest bathing walk of less than a mile, wild foraged tea around the campfire, and a sound bath

    👋🏼 Meeting point:
    Meet by the picnic table near the parking area at 2:50 pm. We will start at 3:00 pm.

    🚙 Parking: Sweet Run State Park, 11661 Harpers Ferry Rd, Hillsboro, VA 20132 (The $10 entrance fee is included in your registration.

    🚻 Miscellaneous: There are bathrooms at the barn near the parking area, and portable toilets at the parking area.

    🎒Preparation:
    Bring

    • Water
    • Layers of clothes based on the weather
    • A snack if you would like
    • ​Sturdy comfortable shoes
    • headlamp or flashlight
    • Tick & bug spray
    • Sunblock & a hat

    🪷 Cost: This event has a fee. Multiple price options are available.
