Fall Equinox Ritual
Details
Fall Equinox is approaching! Join us for a ritual and snacks as we celebrate the Autumn Equinox on September 19th at 3:00 PM at the Living Earth Sanctuary. All are welcome, whether you are a long-term member or new!
A little about Fall Equinox or Mabon: It is a time of second harvest, balance, and thanksgiving, marking the day when night and day are of equal length before the darkness begins to increase even more. Named in modern traditions after the Welsh deity Mabon ap Modron, this Sabbat centers on gratitude for the fruits of the Earth and reflecting on the seeds we planted earlier in the year.
It is the time of gathering the final harvest, honoring the shift in seasons, and finding harmony within ourselves as the natural world slows down. As the cool air sets in, we give thanks for the abundance that sustains us and prepare for the quiet warmth of the hearth in the months ahead.
