About us
This is a low-pressure space for anyone interested in sketching, whether you have been drawing for years or are just picking up a pencil for the first time. The goal of this group is simple: to get together in person, spend some time sketching, and share what we have learned along the way. We meet to swap techniques, talk about our favorite materials, and help one another work through common creative hurdles in a friendly, supportive environment.
We believe that the best way to improve is by learning from each other rather than following a rigid curriculum. Each session is informal, so feel free to bring a current project you are working on, a sketchbook you want to fill, or just a few questions about how to improve your shading, perspective, or line work. We look forward to meeting you, seeing what you are working on, and growing our skills as a community.

Pacific Grove Drawing Basics for Adult Beginners
160 B, Pacific Grove, CA, USđ¨ Sketch Hour: A Beginner Drawing Class
An hour-long sketching class that starts at this event's start time. Bring a pencil and a few sheets of paper, open the link, and draw along step by step with everyone booked into the same session.
This session is First Lines: the basics of holding the pencil, seeing in shapes and shading so things look solid.
When the class ends, photograph your drawing and send it in. A reviewer looks at your page and writes back with what's working and what to try next.
No experience needed. If you've ever said "I can't draw", this is for you.
