LoMAZ Away Day: A Day Trip to Cardiff

Join us for a day trip to the Welsh capital, Cardiff, and explore the history, museums and culture of Cardiff.

We will visit Cardiff Castle, which stands at the very centre of Wales' capital, a historic fortress set within green parkland, surrounded by shops, cafés and city streets. Few castles in the world sit so closely alongside modern urban life, making Cardiff Castle one of the most distinctive visitor attractions in the UK.

With nearly 2,000 years of history contained within its walls, the castle offers a unique introduction to Cardiff itself. From Roman defences and medieval towers to lavish Victorian interiors, every era has left its mark on this remarkable site.

Ticket with Art Pass: Free entry - IT IS NOT REQUIRED TO BOOK YOUR TICKET ONLINE if you have the Art Pass. You will need to get a "free" ticket at the ticket office on the day.

11:15 AM: ENTER THE MUSEUM/EXHIBITION

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM - LUNCH - either a local café or pub. Alternatively, we can visit the Cardiff market for food.

3:00 PM - VISIT NATIONAL MUSEUM CARDIFF
Free admission, but it is recommended that you book a ticket beforehand.

We'll head to a local pub for a social chit chat over drinks.

• Direct train from London Paddington Train Station - 1 h 54 mins train journey.
• About 14 mins walk from the Cardiff Central train station to Cardiff Castle
