The Hydrogen Group have kindly offered to host the July and August hack days at their offices while work is being done at Heron Tower.
Please note the July/August venue: Hydrogen, 30 Eastcheap, London, EC3M 1HD
This is the third Typelevel (http://typelevel.org/) hack day in conjunction with the London Scala User Group (http://www.meetup.com/london-scala/) and Hack The Tower! (http://hackthetower.co.uk/)
Join users of and contributors to Typelevel projects (http://typelevel.org/projects/) and Typelevel Scala (https://github.com/typelevel/scala) and learn how to put them to good use in your own projects and how to make them better for the whole Scala community!
At the May Typelevel hack day we had people working on the Scala compiler (see photo above ... we submitted a pull request (https://github.com/scala/scala/pull/5162) against 2.12.x which as been accepted and merged!), people exploring Cats (http://typelevel.org/cats/) and shapeless (https://github.com/milessabin/shapeless), people working on Ensime (http://ensime.github.io/) and FreeSlick (https://github.com/smootoo/freeslick) and people working through introductory Scala problems and exercises ... something for everyone whatever their level of expertise!
Please come and join us, and if there's anything you'd like to chat about beforehand head over to the gitter channel (https://gitter.im/typelevel/hack-the-tower).
hackthetower.co.uk (http://www.hackthetower.co.uk/) is a hack day for any and all developers to come and collaborate on projects or simply discover new technologies together and enhance their skills. Working together also helps draw from each others experiences and get more done.
