Open House (Sat) - The Guildhall, Drapers' Hall & Bakers' Hall!

Once a year in September, 800 private buildings in London open their doors for the weekend and let the public in to look around and admire their architecture. We are going to take full advantage of this visiting buildings on the Saturday and the Sunday.
On the Saturday we are visiting 3 buildings.
The Guildhall - built in the 12th cen
The City's seat of municipal government since 12th century. Grade I listed and survived the Great Fire of London, rare example of medieval civic architecture. Historic banqueting hall and a site of major moments in British history that is still used today.
Finish at 1:00pm and walk to the next building.
Arrive at the Drapers Hall' building - 1:15pm.
Drapers' Hall - built in the 1770's
The present hall for the Worshipful Company of Drapers who are sellers of textiles and fabrics. It was bought from King Henry VIII in 1543 for the sum of 1,800 marks (approximately £1,200). This had been the house of Thomas Cromwell, Earl of Essex and Chief Minister to Henry.
It was destroyed by the Great Fire of 1666, then rebuilt, but again destroyed by fire In 1772 and rebuilt, In the 1860s, the frontage was changed and the interior altered.
Finish at 2:30pm and walk to the next building.
Arrive at the Bakers Hall' building - 2:45pm.
Bakers Hall' - rebuilt in 1964
Bakers' Hall is the home of the Worshipful Company of Bakers, who have had a hall on this site since 1506. The second oldest of London's Livery Companies, Visitors will have the chance to explore the hall and view items from the archive.
Finish at 4:00pm and head to the pub.
Cost
Entry to all buildings is free!
We will spend about 1h 15mins in each building. All the buildings are within walking distance of each other.
Afterwards
After, we will head to 'The Monument pub', 18 Fish Street Hill (we finish not far from Monument Tube Station).
Look out for the red & blue 'London Cultureseekers' group sign.
