Open House (Sun) - Apothecaries' Hall & Stationers' Hall!

Once a year in September, 800 private buildings in London open their doors for the weekend and let the public in to look around and admire their architecture. We are going to take full advantage of this visiting buildings on the Saturday and the Sunday.

On the Sunday we are visiting 2 buildings.

Apothecaries' Hall - built in 1672
Apothecaries’ Hall is the oldest Livery Company hall of thirty-four surviving in the City. The building is set around a courtyard and sits on the site of the former Blackfriars Priory. It was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London.

Finish at 2:30pm and walk to Stationers' Hall.

Arrive at the Stationers' Hall building - 2:45pm.

Stationers' Hall - built in 1673
Also rebuilt after the Great Fire of London. The building has a livery hall with courtroom and garden. Oak panelling and stained glass windows. Undamaged in WWII. Selected items from the archives on display. Book binding exhibition in the Hall.

Finish at 4:15pm and head to the pub.

Cost
Entry to all buildings is free!

We will spend about 1h 15mins in each building. All the buildings are within walking distance of each other.

Afterwards
After, we will head to the 'Ye Olde London pub', 42 Ludgate Hill for a chat over a drink (near to BlackFriars and St. Paul's Tube Stations).
