Visit Bunhill Fields Cemetery!

Details

Come along on Sunday 5th October to visit Bunhill Fields Cemetery!

About the cemetery
Bunhill Fields cemetery was laid down in 1665 and was in use until 1854.
It had 123,000 interments, of which about 2,000 monuments remain today. It is known for its Nonconformist connections of people who lived locally when they passed.

It is the burial place of prominent people including the poet William Blake (died 1827), writer Daniel Defoe (died 1731), writer John Bunyan (died 1688), artist & poet Susannah Wesley (1742) and philosopher Isacc Watts (died 1748).

A great time to visit cemeteries is in the Autumn or Spring.

When you arrive I will provide you with maps to explore the cemetery. Alternatively, I can give you a mini guided tour on some of the most famous graves.

The visit will last about 1h 30mins.
