Shakespeare's Globe Theatre: 'The Merry Wives of Windsor'

Come along on Saturday 30th August to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre to see one of William Shakespeare's best comedies: 'The Merry Wives of Windsor'.

About the play

Boisterous, disreputable knight Sir John Falstaff hatches a plan to restore his fortunes by seducing two wealthy housewives, Mistress Ford and Mistress Page. But the hunter becomes the hunted when, wise to his schemes and determined to get the last laugh, they decide to play a few tricks of their own…

Middle class England dissolves into beautiful chaos in this unexpected story of mischief, madness and metamorphoses,

The play was written in around 1597.

Tickets are £5-£10 each for standing and from £25 upwards for seating.

If tickets sell out online, you can get one on the day by queuing outside the main entrance for returns at 6:00pm.

The Globe has no roof to protect the standing tickets in the yard, if it rains you will get wet.

The play starts at 7:30pm and lasts 2 hours and 20 mins with an interval.
