Join us for a session that will help build your knowledge of some of the greatest photographers in recent history.
You will learn who they were, what they did and why they are important. You will also learn to shoot in their style which will give you the ability to see things differently and work out or help add to your own style of street photography.
We will have a set of exercises to help you shoot in the style of and get the best out of this informative and super fun session.
In this session we’ll be looking at the work of: Elliot Erwitt
Eliot Erwitt is a French-born advertising and documentary film photographer known for his black and white candid photos of ironic and absurd situations within everyday settings.
You’ll have loads of fun while working through a few exercises to help hone your eye.

Visual walkthrough of Erwitt’s most celebrated works, focusing on:
- Humour and irony in composition
- Use of juxtaposition and contrast
- Layered storytelling and decisive moments
- Shoot in Eliot Erwitt's style
- Technical settings
- Build confidence shooting street photography
EQUIPMENT:
- Any camera
- A standard 18-55 kit lens will do or use a 70-200 for candid shots
